2007-2008 Toronto Maple Leafs
Been watching the NHL pre-season games on Leafs TV, and I’ve got to say that the Leafs don’t look to bad at all. The Sundin and Blake line looks good. :) Maybe we’ll make the playoffs this year?
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part Six – Painting
I managed to get a coat of paint on last night. So today was the second coat – I’m planning on painting three coats total. I’ve been putting them on thin, so they will dry nice and even. I do notice, however, that the paint…
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part Five – Preparing for paint
These next few steps are the most time consuming, by far. Preparing for paint is a tough a job, …and it will really test your patients for sure. Now, I only say it is tough because I’m dealing with drywall that has been “tampered” with…
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part Four – Grouting
I was surprised to see how easy, and fast this process goes – however it is a bit messy. Just mix the grout, use your trowl to apply it in the grout lines between the tiles, and wait about 30 mins. The 30 minute wait…
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part Three – Tiling
On this day, with the cement board down and fully secured, we start the tiling process. First we lay down a pattern, make our pre-cuts, and start spreading the tile adhesive, or tile mortar. Once we get to the end, we’ll cut any additional tiles…
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part Two – Demolition
To get this bathroom started, I get to break stuff. Well, …only the old vanity. The toilet gets removed first, then I started on the vanity. The vanity was only held in place by four(4) 3″ screws, …crazy. Once the vanity was gone, I began…
Renovating the Master Bathroom – Part One – Introduction
Well, it’s that time again – house renovation. Been planning this for over a year now, and we’ve been buying hardware for this renovation well over a year. Bascially we are planning to rip up the crappy linoleum tile, replace it with 13″ x 13″…
Best T-Shirt ever!
My free t-shirt from Vista Print arrived today. They were running a promotion, pay for $5 shipping, and they’ll give you a free t-shirt print. So it’s not exactly free, but a good deal for sure. I’ll let the picture speak for itself.
2007 Vesters Horseshoe Tournament
Well, today I took part in the 33rd (yes that’s right, …33 years) Annual Vesters Horseshoe Tournament. This is my second year attending it, and it is always full of good times, lots of beer, and great food. In my second year attending it, I…
2007 Chevrolet HHR
Well, …I did it. I got an HHR. I just picked her up from the dealership. It’s a 5 speed, with a 2.2L Ecotec engine. It is a great ride, and fun to drive. I wanted to have a little more room, and a hatch-back…
One year anniversary
Wow, it has been a year. Seems like last month we were just getting ready for the wedding. Time flies when you are having fun. :) We are spending the weekend in Niagara Falls to celebrate. I’m actually typing this in the Niagara hotel room…
Fiero accessories from Rodney Dickman
I just got my order in from Rodney Dickman, and all I can say is WOW. The build quality on his accessories is top-notch to say the least. The leather boot for the shifter is “thick” leather, …not that cheap stuff. The mirror bras and…
Toronto Zoo pictures
We went to the zoo back on the 4th of August, but I’m just getting around to organizing the 260 pictures I took. Here are a few.
Harvesting the veggie garden
Today we picked off our first veggies from our first veggie garden. The tiny-tim tomatoes are sooo good :)
ALDL data of the Fiero during normal driving
I just took it out for a spin, …to monitor the RPMs during idle and normal driving conditions. Everything seemed like it was normal – especially after the vacuum leak fix. Click below to download the ALDL data from the Fiero: 20070806_fiero_ALDL_drive.zip.
OMFG! The idle problem has been solved!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …IT IS SOLVED! Oh my F#$KING GOD! Finally! Only took 1.5 years of poking and prodding. I’ve got tears-of-joy rolling down my eyes. Ok, here is what I did: That spare TB I had from my parts car tear down got a nice sandblasting…
Again, more troubleshooting
I did some more troubleshooting of the vacuum system, and I removed the throttle body from the intake plenum. I’ll do further testing once I hear from some of the members on Pennock’s Fiero Forum. Here are some pics:
More Fiero vacuum investigation
…this time it is the throttle body. I’ve just been using my blog to post pictures to Pennock’s Fiero Forum (PFF). Have a look if you want. I’m just focusing on the throttle body, and to show that the idle screw hasn’t been tampered with.
Another Fiero vacuum leak test
Tested it again by plugging the IAC port and the front valve cover port, …and it won’t stall. Stutters around 500-600 rpm. I have a vacuum leak somewhere – must be under the plenum. F#$K!!!!!!!!!!
Fiero vacuum leak test
I did a vacuum leak test on the Fiero. This was achieved by starting it up, and holding your finger over the IAC port. The Fiero’s idle went down where it should be (950-1100 rpm) when I held my finger over the port. What does…
New Fiero valve cover air breather
Since Hi-tech DID NOT, I REPEAT, DID NOT put an air breather on one of my valve cover ports, I had to get one. My engine has been breathing in unfiltered air since the install, ….which is not good AT ALL. F@#KING BULLSH#T, because this…
Fiero 3.4L high idle – more testing and inspection
I was inspecting the Fiero even more, and came across this on the side of the V6 that faces the firewall. Is this the problem? We will see. I won’t keep my hopes up.
Remember the veggie garden?
The first pic is the “before”, …the rest are the “after”. It has grown BIG-TIME. Pretty good for someone that hates plants and flowers. Should be ready for harvesting next month.
1986 Pontiac Fiero SE Notchback
Been a long time since I just took the camera, and shot a few pics of the Fiero. So I threw caution into the wind and snapped a few. Enjoy!
