I’ve been watching the whole Chevy Volt project that GM is coming out with in the near future, and I’ve got to say that I’m impressed with it.
I’d like to get one when they come out, but I think I’ll wait and see what they perform like after a few years on the market. They are projected to release the volt in late 2010.
From the rumours, it doesn’t look like they will be cheap either – $40,000 price tag. The rumours also say that you’ll only be able to lease them too; no financing.
It’s something I’ll definitely keep my eye on in the next few years, because having the ability to drive completely on electric power is very cool – and cost effective in the long run.
